Metadata Analysis to Evaluate Environmental Impacts of Wheat Residues Burning on Soil Quality in Developing and Developed Countries

Crop residues are widely considered as a biofuel source and used in livestock feeding, or burned off to clean the field for tillage planting. Nonetheless, crop residue burning poses serious threats soil stability sustainability of food chain. This study aimed investigate potential environmental impacts wheat on declines quality developing (Iran) developed (Italy) countries by analyzing metadata last 50 years. All were provided from ‘Food Agriculture Organization United Nations’ (FAO) including harvested area, annual production, biomass burning, assess impact quality. In detail, greenhouse gases (GHGs) emission, energy nutrient losses estimated. Our results showed robust interdependence between effects both systems. Accordingly, global warming increased Iran (4286 5604 kg CO2eq) decreased Italy (3528 1524 over Amongst all losses, nitrogen represents higher lost value countries, followed potassium, sulfur, phosphorus.
